About

Me

Design has always been a part of my life.

I use my design skills in my professional life, personal life and community building. For the past 10 years I’ve been a freelance website designer and have worked independently and collaboratively, developing sites for a variety of small to medium size businesses and non-profit organizations.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph.and a Multimedia Web Design certificate, from Algonquin College, with certification in Adobe Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Director.

These are the tools that I use and the skills I have developed for my website and graphic work.

My business is built upon my reputation.

Milestones

What Else Do I Do?

I've had numerous opportunities to work with students to help them create murals or to teach them privately. I continue to work with traditional mediums such as watercolours, acrylics and pencil.

I’ve held numerous volunteer leadership positions where I have been able to develop skills in communications, relationship building, leadership, conflict management and strategic thinking. Some of these are: as co-chair of Broadview School Council; Music Monday, an initiative of the Coalition of Music Education in partnership with the National Arts Centre, co-chair of the Advisory Committee on the Arts for the Ottawa-Carleton Distrct School Board and chair of communications for a religious organization.

I’ve also continued my drawing and painting and have done murals with elementary school students and teachers as well as a few commissioned residential works.
