Murals

Armed with my design skills, lots of enthusiasm and a desire to share the joys of art with others, I have enabled students at elementary schools to reveal what is in their heads and their hearts. Working with a colleague, I have taught and directed hundreds of students on how to create murals in their school halls.

Mural designs are developed to explore certain themes and students are encouraged to create their own individual drawings. Once all the drawings have been submitted, they are incorporated into one large piece of artwork. In many cases, the background is drawn in around the students' images to complete the picture. Once these steps are finished, the drawings are transferred to walls and finally painted. The amount of painting that I do is always very limited as my role in these various mural projects has been to allow the students themselves, to create and paint their drawings.

I've also painted murals for clients in their own homes including the geraniums and trellis shown to the right.
